January 1 always ushers in changes in health care coverage programs from open enrollment to annual cost of living adjustments.  Listed below are some of the Jan 1 health related changes that you may find useful to know. And let's not forget the Massachusetts minimum wage goes up from $12 to $12.75 per hour on Jan 1.

Health Update: October 2019

Public Charge

Multiple federal courts have blocked the Trump administration’s final public charge regulations from going into effect on October 15, 2019!

This means most non-citizens can continue using the nutrition, health and housing benefits for which they are eligible without fear of public charge.

Great news! Today the federal court in New York granted a preliminary injunction enjoining enforcement of the new public charge rule  nation-wide.
