Child Care Brochure (DTA) - Form CC-1

This is an updated DTA brochure on child care. It is inaccurate as it states you can only get TAFDC child care if you are doing 20 hours. Under the statute, they have to give you child care if you are working or in an approved activity (which is often less than 20 hours). DTA has agreed but this pamphlet is not accurate. It is not clear if they have to give you licensed care if you need care for fewer than 20 hours, or if they can meet the obligation with informal care, but they can't just say no care if it's for less than 20 hours. PLEASE report any cases to MLRI or your local LS office.
