SNAP applications must be approved or denied before day-30 when the client has met all eligibility requirements. To ensure that benefits are issued timely when day-30 falls on a Saturday, Sunday or a holiday, the benefit must be authorized and issued on the next business day.
Effective with BEACON Build 47.4, effective April 27, 2015, a pop-up will inform a supervisor when a case meets these criteria. The supervisor must click Calculate before authorizing the case to ensure that benefits are issued in accordance with Federal timeliness requirements.
