DTA

In April 2009, the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), commonly known as the Stimulus package, helped improve food security for many people affected by the recession. The extra benefits provided by ARRA will end on October 31, 2013. All SNAP benefits will be recalculated using the new eligibility standards. The impact of the ARRA recalculation will cause a decrease in SNAP benefits in November.

This Operations Memo includes the new SNAP maximum benefit amounts and sample notice DTA is sending to SNAP recipients the end of October 2013.
