OLGT 2024-20: EAEDC and SNAP: Interim Disability Verification Procedures

Date:

The Department continues to develop a permanent disability determination process that will streamline the disability verification process for the Emergency Aid to the Elderly, Disabled, and Children (EAEDC) program. This will include BEACON changes, new forms, notices and procedural changes.

In the meantime, certain procedures that were implemented during the public health crisis have been moved to permanent procedures.
For the Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP), the process used to certify disability for disabled noncitizens who receive EAEDC has been removed from the COVID-19 Book and placed into the Disabled Noncitizen page of the Online Guide.

Standard disability procedures for citizens and qualified noncitizens who are already eligible for SNAP remain on the SNAP Disability Requirements and Verifications page of the Online Guide. With the issuance of this Online Guide Transmittal, all disability procedures pertinent to EAEDC, and SNAP have been removed from the COVID-19 Book.
