The MBTA Youth Pass Program provides affordable access to public transportation for low-income youth and young adults.  One criteria of eligibility requires residency in a participating city/town.  Periodically, additional cities/towns enroll as city partners of the Youth Pass program. Most recently, the cities/towns added as Youth Pass city partners include: Cambridge, North Shore (19 cities/towns) and Revere.

The North Shore area’s 19 cities/towns include: Beverly, Danvers, Essex, Gloucester, Hamilton, Ipswich, Lynn, Lynnfield, Manchester by the Sea, Marblehead, Middleton, Nahant, Peabody, Rockport, Salem, Saugus, Swampscott, Topsfield, Wenham and all actively enrolled North Shore Community College students not serviced by other participating cities/towns.

An updated flyer has been developed and must be available to all clients inquiring about the Youth Pass program.  It can be accessed from the Online Guide Flyers page.

A future mailing to certain SNAP and cash households residing in the newly added cities/towns will occur to advise them of this benefit.
