The Disability Policy Consortium has a contract with MassHealth to operate an Ombudsman program to assist MassHealth members having problems with their managed care plans. It was originally created to help people in One Care, an integrated managed care program for individuals with disabilities who are eligible for both MassHealth and Medicare, but has been expanded to assist all MassHealth members. According to their website:
Our team can answer questions about plan benefits and services, help you understand a denial letter, listen to your concerns, help address problems, and more. We help anyone enrolled in a MassHealth health plan, of all ages, identities, and abilities in over 165 languages on request, including ASL.
