MLRI Analysis of House 2

The Governor released his budget proposal for state fiscal year 2023 & MLRI has produced its preliminary analysis here: 

 

MassHealth advocates will be happy to see that the Governor is proposing another expansion of the upper income limit for MassHealth's Medicare Savings Programs.from the current 165% of the poverty level to 200% of the poverty level. This follows the Jan 2020 expansion from 130% to 165% and doubling of the asset test for MSP.  The MSP programs  pay the Medicare Pt B premiums .
