FACT SHEET: MEDICARE PREMIUMS, DEDUCTIBLES FOR 2011

Different categories of Medicare beneficiaries will have different Medicare costs in 2011:

People who have been paying for their Medicare Part B premiums will continue to pay $96.40.

Those newly eligible for Medicare will pay $115.40 (the state will pay this amount if the individual is eligible for Medicaid payment of Part B premiums).

People who have been eligible for Medicare and for state payment of Part B premiums and who lose eligibility for state payment of the Medicare Part B premium are in the same position as those newly eligible for Medicare - they'll have to pay $115.40.
