This manual describes the roles and responsibilities of DYS and DYS-contracted staff in meeting the needs of DYS-involved youth. In doing so, it also describes the course of treatment and services a DYS-involved youth will receive during commitment to DYS, both while confined and upon return to the community. This manual is Massachusetts DYS's most updated, comprehensive description of their service system. This manual replaces DYS's June. 2009 Case Management Reference Guide, which was previously posted on this site.
