ConnectorCare Advocacy Guide
ConnectorCare Advocacy Guide: An Advocate's Guide to the Massachusetts ConnectorCare Program
This handbook is designed for advocates and attorneys helping low- and moderate-income clients needing access to health care services who are not eligible for MassHealth, but may qualify for free or low cost health insurance through the Massachusetts Health Connector's ConnectorCare program. The Advocacy Guide uses a question-and-answer format to help you navigate the state and federal rules that govern the application process, eligibility criteria, enrollment periods, premium costs, benefits and copayments, and appeal rights in ConnectorCare.
COVID 19 Update: Information in the Guide does not reflect COVID-19 emergency policies affecting ConnectorCare including closure of walk-in centers, a new special enrollment period until July 23, 2020, and a new policy of not taking negative action based on an enrollee's failure to reply to a request for information by the deadline for responding. These and other changes are shown on the Health Connector's COVID-19 webpage: https://www.
