US DOE OCR Guidance on Bullying

OCR issued updated guidance for schools stating that bullying of students cannot be tolerated.   If a student with a disability is being bullied, federal law requires schools to take immediate and appropriate action to investigate the issue and, as necessary, take steps to stop the bullying and prevent it from recurring.  This article includes links to the Dear Colleague Letter of 10/21/2014, past DCL on bullying, a fact sheet for parents on school's responsibilities under 504 and ADA Title II in English and Spanish and a link to the federal government website https://www.stopbullying.gov/
