Operations Bulletin 2016-06: Good Cause Start Date Absence Page

TAFDC staff is reminded that when entering Good Cause on the Cooperation tab of the Absence page, the Start Date field represents the start date for the initial claim of Good Cause (or the reclaiming of Good Cause if at review), not the start date for the date safety became a concern. In most instances, the start date for the claiming of Good Cause will be the current date. Additionally, the Scheduled end date should be no greater than the reevaluation end date when good cause must be reviewed and verified as part of the eligibility review. The Scheduled end date must never be greater than one year from the start date.
