OLGT 2016-02: SNAP and Cash Programs- - The Assisting Person (Authorized Representative) Page

Announces changes to the Assisting Person (Authorized Representative) page on BEACON. Purpose of change is help DTA workers identify the purpose of the roles identified in the dropdown list. In addition, a social security number will no longer be required for any role when completing the Assisting Person page.

MLRI note: Community organizations/helping agencies that provide SNAP Outreach (application assistance0 or advocacy to resolve a case should NOT sign the IMAGE-10 form, which is deigned for indivduals or agencies operating in a role similar to legal guardian or a group home that receives and transacts the EBT card on the client's behalf. Clients should sign a written consent to allow the helping agency to talk with DTA about the case but not an IMAGE-10 Authorized Rep form.
