Time sensitive, important meetings this week - tune in! 

  • Special SNAP Coalition meeting with DTA on fraud/phishing: Tomorrow, Tuesday, May 2, 10 to 11. Please tune in if you are available. Zoom link here.

  • Feeding Our Neighbors Legislative Briefing: Tomorrow, Tuesday, May 2, noon to 1 PM in person, Room 222, State House followed by Lobby Day activities. Join State Senator Sal DiDomenico, State Rep Tony Cabral and Judith Garcia as well as physicians, La Colaborativa staff and others to learn about the Feeding Our Neighbors Campaign to secure state-funded benefits for legally present immigrants.   • SNAP and College Students Webinar: Thursday, May 4, 11 AM to noon. MLRI and DTA will discuss general SNAP rules and long standing MA rules that help most low-income college students qualify for SNAP - even though the federal public health emergency (PHE) is ending. This training is for colleges, students, anti-hunger organizations. Please register HERE for the Zoom link.

Reminder: State funded SNAP boost issued tomorrow, May 2

There are 2 more state funded SNAP boosts going out - one tomorrow, May 2, and the final payment on June 2. These payments are 40% of the difference between the household’s normal SNAP amount and the maximum grant for their household size - with a minimum boost of $38 for those close to or at the max grant amount.
