PCA OT update

Disability rights activists, PCAs and the union representing them have made some progress with the Office of Medicaid in this on-going controversy about Personal Care Attendant Over-Time (PCA OT).

MassHealth has released an update of its PCA OT policy --attached. Basically, MassHealth will pay for current PCA OT through the end of the year, still wants requests for OT approval to be submitted by later this month (Oct 22), and will be taking the next few months to help consumers recruit additional PCAs and review its continuity of care policy for approving OT.
