DTA Client Survey to TAFDC Work Program Recipients; DTA Updated Guidance on Interpreter Services

The next Food SNAP Coalition Meeting is Tuesday, March 26th from 10 to Noon at St Francis House.

I am writing to share two hot off the press DTA documents of interest to Coalition Members and which we will briefly discuss at Tuesday's meeting.
DTA Operations Memo 2013-10 describes a confidential client survey DTA recently sent to a random selection of TAFDC Work Program recipients asking them about issues with meeting the work requirement and other experiences interfacing with DTA. The DTA mailing included a self-addressed stamped envelope, which is great. There is also a way to complete the survey on line. If you have any TAFDC clients who received this survey, please encourage them to fill it out.

DTA Operations Memo 2013-11 reminds DTA staff about DTA Interpreter Services and language access policies for limited English proficient clients. You might want to keep it handy, and perhaps even give it to LEP clients who are going to the DTA office. And here's the link to DTA's recently updated interpreter services brochures in English and seven languages: http://www.masslegalservices.org/content/dta-flier-your-right-interpreter-multiple-languages

And THANKS to all who attended the meeting with the Boston Web Unit, DTA Policy and Regional DTA Staff this AM.  Very productive meeting.
