There are three webinars coming up soon:  Next week on May 6 our rescheduled annual Immigrants and Public Benefits training, and on May 5 a forum on the soon to be available federal discount program for broadband services, and the following week on May 12 our annual Elder Benefits training. I hope you can join us for one or more of these.

This is a reminder that our next Health Care Working Group meeting is next Tuesday, April 13, at 3:30pm. We'll be discussing: 
 
MCLE, our host for this training, is still having problems with its server and has postponed this training until May 6, 2021. Once the server is back up, people who pre-registered for the April 8, 2021 will be notified about the rescheduled date by MCLE.

Today, March 31 at 2 pm Protecting Immigrant Families (PIF) Webinar on Improving Access to COVID Vaccines for Immigrants

 

It was 11 years ago in March that the ACA was enacted, and one year ago that the Governor declared a state public health emergency, so it feels particularly appropriate to be relaying today's update with good news about reducing barriers to enrollment for immigrants, plans to expand MassHealth eligibility and services to address health disparities, and the sweeping expansion of affordable coverage available through the Health Connector under the American Rescue Plan Act.
