As you probably heard over the weekend, the state has released new reopening guidance for Phase 2.  
 
Non-urgent procedures that had been postponed can now be scheduled once providers have attested to having COVID-19 precautions in place: 
 

We have some important updates on how to PIN the Pandemic EBT cards; reminder on getting your organization’s name onto the national sign-on letter; ensuring local food pantries are not asking for photo IDs or SSNs from families; upcoming Immigrant/Benefits trainings.

June 3, 2020 Health Updates

Three new developments that will reduce medical debt: 1. Retroactive eligibility, 2. Protecting more Medicare beneficiaries from balance billing 3. Fewer people charged copays.  Updates on 4. Student Health Plan Premium Assistance ending but students protected from losing MassHealth 5. IRS Debit Cards  and  6. MassHealth’s Summary of its Eligibility Flexibilities during COVID 19

1.      Retroactive Eligibility (Up to 90 Days) for Members Under the Age of 65

 

We are sending two eblasts this AM.  The first are updates on P-EBT and online EBT purchasing. The second eblast will include two organizational sign-on letters:  One to the MA Legislature (House Leadership) on the MA SNAP Gap campaign; one to Congress on the next pandemic package. 

Note, there is NO SNAP zoom call tomorrow. Next SNAP Zoom call is Tuesday, June 9th at 10AM.  We will be doing SNAP Coalition meeting every other Tuesday for the next two month.
