The Massachusetts House and Senate have each completed their work on their respective FY23 budgets, which are now in “Conference Committee” where the six “Conferees” work out the differences.  There are FOUR top budget priorities that need your help. 

Senate wraps up FY 23 budget, next stop conference committee

Medicare Saving Program expansion proposed for Jan 2023. Both chambers provided for a further expansion of the upper income limits for the Medicare Savings Programs (Senior Buy In and Buy In) effective Jan. 1, 2023 with the only question being how much higher than the current 165% FPL upper limit, the final bill will go. The Senate goes up to 225% FPL (Senate Section 31), the House to 250% FPL (House Section 28).

As you begin plans for your Memorial Day break, we have some quick updates and an ask. The MA Senate finished their debate on the FY23 Senate budget debate on late Wednesday night. The FY23 budget now heads to Conference Committee where differences between both branches will get worked out in June before the budget is sent to the Governor for signature and/or vetoes.
