We hope you all have power back on from last week’s power-packed Nor’easter (85-90 mph winds!)  As is our tradition, there is NO Coalition meeting the week of November 22rd.  The next "regular" SNAP Coalition meeting will be Tuesday, December 7th – to avoid the Thanksgiving and Christmas weeks.  Here’s a couple of important updates and action items to get on your radar:

Our colleagues at NASW Massachusetts Chapter - and co-chairs of the Common Apps Coalition - have drafted a fantastic sign on letter for MA social workers and social work students. The goal is to both draw more attention to the growing crisis of healthcare patients who also present with significant unmet basic needs, and to urge the MA Legislature to expedite passage of this critical legislation.

Important updates below! Pat and I will be in touch soon regarding our next Coalition meeting (we typically combine meetings in November and December to one meeting in early December due to the holidays - stay tuned!).

We hope you are all safe and warm.
