Attached please find a flyer about our upcoming training on immigrants' eligibility for public benefits. Morning session with immigration lawyers to explain statuses, documents, latest on public charge & know your rights. We will also have housing lawyers to cover housing & EA shelter.
We have heard your comments on past sessions some saying too basic & others too advanced. In the afternoon there are two sessions to cover immigrants' eligibility for 1.cash assistance (TAFDC, EAEDC & SSI), SNAP, and 2. health programs, and a choice of basic or advanced tracks in each session.
Please note the immigration law portion is background to explain eligibility for public benefits not how to obtain various immigration statuses.
