Updated 12/21/13:  First and foremost - THANKS TO ALL who contacted MLRI  and local Legal Services about SNAP recipients harmed by the EBT photo roll out. It has made a HUGE difference.

See this December 13, 2013 update, from Heath Care for All's blog.

We just received word from the Commissioner's office that they have agreed to issue overnight EBT cards to any SNAP recipients whose EBT photo card did not reach them and their current blue card is not active or the envelope was returned to DTA by the postal service as undeliverable. As you may have learned from clients, local DTA offices have been telling clients to wait "up to 10-12 days" for a replacement card, or to come to the local DTA office in person.

We have created a webpage on Mass Legal Services with information and resources regarding Photo EBT cards including a sample of what the card looks like. The Photo EBT card webpage can be found here: /photoEBT   It is important that we track the implementation issues closely.
