The Online Resource for Massachusetts Poverty Law Advocates

Virtual Q and A for community advocates working with immigrant families

Please use this form to register for the Friday, May 15,  2020 virtual question and answer session for community advocates about legal questions that may come up when working with immigrant families in Massachusetts during the COVID-19 pandemic.  The event will be held from 10:30 AM to noon, by zoom.  You will get the zoom log in information once you submit this form.

At the presentation, we will present information about common questions that you and your clients may be having, such as

  • What is the current status of immigration appointments and hearings
  • What is the eligibility for benefits such as MassHealth, unemployment and pandemic EBT, and the potential impact on public charge
  • How does the current “eviction moratorium,” which stops most evictions in Massachusetts, protect tenants regardless of immigration status
  • What worker protections apply regardless of immigration status

and more.

If you have specific questions that you would like us to try to address, please include them on this registration form.
