Here is DTA's guidance on supplemental SNAP benefits for disaster victims who live or work in the 12 designated towns. (This is called a D-SNAP supplement).
The D-SNAP supplemental benefits are available to qualifying households who were already receiving SNAP benefits on June 1. The benefit is the difference between the household's regular SNAP benefit and the maximum benefit. Households in Brimfield, Monson and Wilbraham will get the supplement automatically. Others need to apply.
Households that were not receiving SNAP benefits on June 1 may be eligible for a different D-SNAP benefit which is the maximum benefit for the household size if the household otherwise qualifies.
The deadline to apply for both supplemental SNAP and D-SNAP is Friday, June 24.
