The Roller Coaster of SNAP in Massachusetts before and during COVID
MLRI's chart of SNAP households in MA during COVID-19 shows that not just a staggering amount of need over the past few months - but the impact economic uncertainty has on hunger. As soon as families lost the $600/week boost in unemployment, the SNAP caseload spiked at a rate meeting or exceeding March/April.
