The ARC Food Program just alerted us to this problem (described below). The ARC files SNAP applications for food pantry guests on Saturdays. We know there are so many problems you are juggling trying to get your clients on SNAP or back onto SNAP.
Please let me or Vicky Negus know if you are seeing this as well (we cannot handle individual case, just want to know if the Virtual Gateway has not been working). Please email to firstname.lastname@example.org
. Attached to this email is a screen shot of the error message the ARC sent us.
These VG problems are endless and exhausting the limited time of non-profits struggling to help low income families. We are especially worried about low income households who give up and do not have an advocate working with them. We do plan to report this to DTA and EOHHS but it would help to know how widespread this is.

Subject: RE: Virtual Gateway Crash
Hi there - we were unable to access VG for about an hour and a half on Saturday before we were finally able to submit the applications successfully. We kept trying every 10-15 minutes or so.
Yesterday, we had the same error message (attached) and it took us almost two hours to submit two applications. We actually went to a different computer to try and submit in case there was some IP problem with the machine we were using but I do not think it is the case and none the less we received the same error.
Are other food banks and food pantries having the same problem?
