Over 210K comments filed to Trump Admin re Public Charge proposed rules; Organizational Sign-on TY letter to EOHHS - Please join us by 12/14!

WOW!!  GOOD JOB!  We are amazed and delighted by the sheer volume and powerful content of the comments filed from Massachusetts and beyond.  USCIS received 210,899 comments filed by 11:59 last night either directly to the regulations.gov website, through the FRAC and MIRA micro-sites and more.  Just WOW!!

We are writing to share a couple of links and also ask to you join us in a letter from the SNAP Coalition orgs and other state-wide/local organizations to thank EOHHS Secretary Sudders. We are very impressed and heartened that Massachusetts has shown strong leadership in opposition to the proposed USCIS rules and we want to recognize that, especially Secretary Sudders for her leadership.

Here’s the most important links:

  • The Administration's web-paged with comments filed by EOHHS Secretary Sudders and six state agencies - including DTA, Department of Public Health, Office of Refugees and Immigrants, MassHealth, Connector, and Department of Communities and Development.

And, for those of you looking for more detail and/or insomnia solutions, here’s a link to MLRI’s 70+ page missive on public charge send to USCIS as well.  Thank you all again!

We will have more updates on the Farm Bill later in the week, but for now – THANK YOU and please sign on to thank EOHHS!
