Health reform state & federal threatens access to health care-Act Now!
On the national health reform front:
As widely reported yesterday, the U.S. Senate will not be taking a vote on it's "Better Care Reconciliation Act of 2017" before the 4th of July recess, but as we know from the experience on the House --the fight is far from over. Please continue your good work:

On the state health reform front:
On June 20 the Baker administration asked the FY 2018 conference committee to add a MassHealth Reform Package to the budget for the fiscal year beginning July 1. Some features of the package include changes in MassHealth eligibility that will make 140,000 non-disabled adults (100,000 parents and 40,000 childless adults) no longer eligible for MassHealth.
Attached is our fact sheet with more information on these harmful cuts. A link with the letters that MLRI and the ACT Coalition sent to the Conference Committee co-Chairs is posted here.
If your organization opposes cuts in MassHealth eligibility and benefits, please communicate with Sen. Spilka and the Senate President and Rep. Dempsey and the House Speaker now!
