Boston SNAP Coalition Meeting on Tuesday, June 27th 10- Noon

This is a quick reminder that the Boston SNAP Coalition meeting is Tuesday, June 27th from 10 to Noon at St Francis House in Boston

The AGENDA will include:

  • Update on Federal/Congressional proposals around SNAP and federal nutrition programs; strategies to protect and strengthen SNAP**

  • Update on State FY18 budget and Conference Committee, and pending legislation

  • Presentation from DTA Commissioner McCue on improvements to DTA Assistance line, document processing, and coming attractions

  • Elder SNAP: Update on plans for specialized elder unit, recommendations for trainings around medical expense deduction

  • ABAWDs (18-50 years olds): Advocacy needed to prepare for end of geographic waiver in January 2018, start of new 3 year time clock
