11/19/11 Deadline Approaching for Nor’Easter SNAP Replacement Benefits

Coalition members are reminded that the DEADLINE for a SNAP recipient to file a request for replacement of food lost as a result of the October 29th Nor'Easter is Friday, November 18th.   Here’s a link to some useful information we've posted on our Legal Servcies website: This link includes the following:

  • SNAP regulations on replacement of SNAP benefits,
  • DTA's Household Statement of Loss form (availabe in both English and Spanish),
  • DTA guidance to staff and community groups on the Nor'easter replacement benefits.

REMINDER:  The next Food SNAP Coalition meeting is Tuesday, November 29th at St Francis House in Boston.  DTA Commissioner Kehoe will be joining us for this meeting. As folks may know, Commissioner Kehoe will be leaving DTA for a Senior Advisor position at EOHHS.
