Reminding everyone to CALL Senators Warren and Markey today, thank them for their steadfast support of SNAP, and encourage them to push the Senate to act quickly to pass a relief package that boosts SNAP. Hearing from constituents matters so they can use our voices to reinforce their work to #BoostSNAPnow!

We are writing with a variety of updates and key information and remind you about Tuesday's SNAP Coalition Zoom meeting. We also want to remind you that this Monday, July 20th is the National "Rolling Rally" to urge the Senate to #BoostSNAPNow in the next COVID-19 package.

DTA has kindly shared updated data on the number of P-EBT cards (individual cards issued to children) in all MA cities and towns.  Most eligible families were issued nearly $399 in total P-EBT benefits, either on their DTA EBT cards or through the  P-EBT card mailed to families.  DTA sent an email yesterday to SNAP partners with important information to remind families about P-EBT, see attached PDF.

Rep McGovern's office kindly flagged the Healthy Food Financing Initiative (HFFI)  2020 grant. See below. We hope you have been tracking this through other networks, but just in case - here's the info and tomorrow (yes, Friday) is the deadline.

We also want to flag for you an excellent MassLive Editorial "Food benefits essential in coronaVirus aid package.".
