Public Charge Rule Updates

This is an update on public charge from Protecting Immigrant Families -Massachusetts.

Highlights:

AARP teams up with Project Bread for SNAP outreach - information on letters being sent to low income MA AARP Members over the next few months

We just want to flag for you a new initiative between AARP Foundation and Project Bread to reach more older adults and help them enroll in SNAP (or do a “SNAP math check- up”).

We've received quite a few questions about how to advise immigrant families worried about receiving nutrition benefits. Attached is a flier (English and Spanish) that you can share with community organizations and immigrant families. If you find it useful, let us know and we will work on additional translations.
