We are writing with important updates on “public charge,” a training tomorrow and efforts to repeal the SNAP 3-month time limit/work rules.

Public Charge updates, client materials and Virtual Q&A tomorrow  

We have a few very positive updates below! The next SNAP Coalition meeting will be the second Tuesday of April- April 13, from 10-11:30. We will be focusing on public charge/ immigrant eligibility and elements of the American Rescue Plan - including Economic Impact Payments and more.

Reminder, we have our regular 4th Tuesday SNAP Coalition meeting tomorrow, March 23rd, from 10 to 11:30 AM.  

The Agenda will include updates on P-EBT for 0-5 year olds, the 15% boost in P-EBT for kids in eligible hybrid or remote learning models, brief updates on federal and state anti-hunger legislation and more!  Here is the Zoom Link:

Lots of info below as we head into the weekend. We are all reflecting this week on the challenges and losses of the past 12 months. It has been a year of extreme difficulties, sadness, frustration, and economic strife for so many. We are deeply appreciative of your work and we have hope for the year ahead - We are especially hopeful today because the American Rescue Plan was JUST signed by President Biden!!!
 
We have very positive news to share this morning!! Please also see information below about an upcoming training on immigrants and benefits - this is a very important time to make sure all eligible households get the benefits they are eligible for! 
 
The Trump-era Public Charge Regulations are NO LONGER in Effect!!!
 
 
SNAP Coalition - tomorrow, Tuesday 3/9 from 10-11:30 AM 
 

Our NEXT SNAP Coalition meeting is Tuesday, March 9th at 10 AM.  The meeting will include a presentation by DTA’s SNAP Employment and Training team, to share some of the increasingly important resources available to SNAP households – all voluntary services – looking to get skills to get back in the workforce. We will also have brief updates on the American Rescue Plan, P-EBT for younger kids, and other breaking news.
