CASLS is the Cambridge office of Greater Boston Legal Services (GBLS). GBLS provides free civil (non-criminal) legal assistance to low-income people in Boston and thirty-one additional cities and towns. The help we offer ranges from legal advice to full case representation, depending on client need. Our staff of attorneys and paralegals is divided into areas of legal expertise to best address the problems faced by people living in poverty. A national leader in poverty law, GBLS also undertakes representation and legal advocacy to address the root causes of poverty.
Intake Notes:Callers with Housing, Public Benefits, SSI/SSDI or Unemployment problems can call the CASLS office directly (617) 603-2700. If you are age 60 or older, call the Elder Law intake line (617) 603-1776. If you are seeking help with a mental health issue, call (617) 603-2716. All other callers should contact the Boston office (617) 371-1234, although some callers may be referred to LARC for intake processing.
