Courts vary in how they process CORI sealing petitions.  Courts typically hold one hearing or two hearings.  A number of courts, however, deny petitions without any kind of a hearing.  Marchaun Morrison, a Northeastern Law School student, surveyed local courts in greater Boston.  This chart which he produced should come in handy in advising or representing client.
