December 29, 2008 is the last day for food stamp households that lost power as a result of the storm to request extra food stamps. To be eligible, the household should (1) be a recipient of food stamps, AND (2) live in an area that lost power as a result of the storm and have an SSN ending
in 8 or 9 (these households did not get extra food stamps automatically), OR (3) live in an area that lost power as a result of the storm that was not on the Mass. Emergency Management Agency list of affected areas. This Field Op Memo explains the procedures.
