Welcome to the Disability Section of MassLegalServices.org

The Disability section of this website deals primarily with government disabilitiy benefits, Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI). Our goal is to use this website to keep advocates informed of new developments in SSI/SSDI law and practice, share practice materials and resources that are at the heart of disability benefits practice, and help make internet-based legal research accessible for advocates. To find legal eduction materials and information geared for the general public, go to http://www.masslegalhelp.org.

Important Note About Access to Documents: While many of the materials in this section are available to the public, some, including administrative decisions, sample briefs, and other practice materials, are restricted to legal services staff and members of the SSI Coalition.  In order to view the restricted materials, you must log in to this website.  Logging in only takes a few seconds.  If you forgot your user name and/or password, go to http://www.masslegalservices.org/reset.

This is a work in progress. Over time, we will continue to add and update resources. Your feedback is essential to keeping this website vital and useful. Please let us know what you would like to see here or if you see anything that needs to be changed. If you have resources you want to share with other advocates, let us know. Please direct your comments and questions about the disability part of the website to bsiegel@vlpnet.org or suimenkova@dlc-ma.org.

Thank you.
