Planned Lifetime Assistance Network of Massachusetts, Inc. (PLAN of Massachusetts) • Provides education and assistance to people with disabilities and their families in planning for future needs of people with disabilities. • Administers two Special Needs Pooled Trusts that are designed to supplement the needs of people with disabilities while protecting present and future entitlement to public benefits such as Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Medicaid.

Available regardless of religion, the Combined Jewish Philanthropies (CJP) Disabilities Trust is a pooled trust for adults with disabilities.  Administered jointly with Jewish Family and Children's Services.

The Berkshire County Arc Master Special Needs Pool Trust has been serving individuals with disabilities since 2002. During that time twenty-four people have joined the pooled trust, and the trust has administered or is currently administering more than three hundred thousand dollars for its members. A pooled trust combines the funds of all its members to increase investment efficiency. Each individual, however, maintains his/her own account in the trust. A trust member may use his/her funds for any purpose other than for basic food, clothing and shelter. Any person disabled according to Social Security standards is eligible for membership.
