No inherent conflict between receipt of Social Security Disability Insurance and employment discrimination claim under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Being "disabled" for SSDI purposes does not preclude proving essential element of ADA claim - that person, with or without reasonable accommodation, can perform the essential functions of a job. SSA does not take the possibility of reasonable accommodation into account when determining disability for SSDI purposes.
